Simple Steps to Cook Nigerian Fried Rice

Simple Steps to Cook Nigerian Fried Rice

Step 1: Put your cooking pot on the stove and allow it to dry and then add roughly 200 ml of vegetable oil. If you have already cooked the meat you will need to use the same oil but you can cut it down to 200ml.

Step 2: Add the sliced onions, after allowing it to heat for a while then, stir for 1-2 minutes.

Step 3: Next, add either the diced carrot or the green beans. Any of them can be used first. Then Stir in the sweet corn and the minced liver.

Stir and taste after adding one seasoning cube, one teaspoon of salt, ground pepper (optional), and meat stock (the meat’s water). If more salt is required you are free to add it.

Step 4: Add the curry powder and cabbage after stirring for for two minutes. (Curry is a yellowish spice that actually gives fried rice its yellowish colour; add and stir till the color you like is achieved)

Don’t worry, the rice will balance the taste of the yellowish mixture, which frequently tasted too spicy. Once the flavour is what you like you can mix in the green pepper and add more.

Step 5: Stir in the nearly cooked white rice. After giving everything a stir, cover the pot and boil for five to seven minutes. That’s how fried rice is made.

Step 6: As you can see above, I fried my chicken. Serve with fried or fried meat (chicken). The chicken can be grilled as well. Moreover grilled chicken is far healthier than fried chicken as it doesn’t include as much oil or cholesterol.
