Fried rice is one of the most popular foods and practically everyone accepts this yummy delicacy, both at home and in the restaurant. This recipe demonstrates how to make this fried rice.

1.4 cups of rice.

2. 5 cups of sliced Cabbage.

3. Cow Liver {300g}.

4. 2kg of Chicken.

5. Vegetable oil. {200ml}

6. 1 cup of sliced Onions.

7. Curry powder (colouring spice) {2 Tablespoons}.

8. Salt and pepper to taste

9. Cups of sliced Carrot.

10.  Cups of sliced Green beans.

11. Half a cup of peas.

12. 1 cup of sliced Green pepper.

How to Cook Fried Rice Step by Step

Step 1:

Set your cooking pot on heat, let it dry, then pour in around 200ml of vegetable oil; it is best to use the same oil you used to fry the meat (if you fried the meats), but you can reduce it to 200ml.

Step 2:

Allow to heat before adding the sliced onions and stirring for 1-2 minutes.

Step 3:

Then add the diced carrot and green beans; either of these two can go in first. Stir in the chopped liver and sweet corn. Meat stock (water from the meat) should be added next, followed by ground pepper (optional), a teaspoon of salt, and 1 seasoning cube, then whisk and taste then mix in the green peas.

Step 4:

Stir for 1-2 minutes then add cabbage and the curry powder (Curry is a yellowish spice that adds the yellowish colour to fried rice, add and stir till you are satisfied with the colour.)

You would have a yellowish mixture that would often taste overly spiced, don’t worry the rice would balance the taste.

If you are satisfied with the taste, then add the green pepper, and stir.

Step 5:

Add the almost-done white rice and stir turning rice fried. Stir all together, cover your pot and allow to simmer for 5-7 minutes.

Step 6:

Serve with fried or fried meat (chicken), which I fried as shown here. The chicken can alternatively be grilled.

Grilled chicken is far better than fried chicken in my opinion. For one thing, you avoid the oil and other cholesterol.

1 Make the Breading

Mix the flour, paprika, salt, and pepper and shake until everything blends.

2. Dredge the Chicken

Place the coated chicken on a baking pan and cover with foil. Allow the flour coating to thicken to the consistency of paste.
