It takes just 15 minutes to cook. So quickly you’ll get the meal ready before any takeout will be delivered. Just imagine this as dinner and if you have leftovers you can have it for lunch the next day.

Another enticing thing about this dish is it makes use of simple everyday ingredients. The ingredients for this recipe are:

  • Spaghetti
  • Mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, sweetcorn) – You can use other types of vegetables. A nice way to clear the fridge
  • Mixed peppers – (red, green and yellow bell peppers)
  • Shrimp/Prawns (Optional) – You can substitute for chicken.
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Black pepper
  • Soy sauce- oh soy sauce! This ingredient will take your stir fry from top to top. Use the dark soy sauce if you can.
  • Curry powder
  • Dried Thyme
  • Spring Onions
  • Salt
  • Vegetable oil – You can use sunflower oil, olive oil or coconut oil.

How to Cook Nigerian Fried Spaghetti

Add water to a pot and put it on the stove. Add a tablespoon of vegetable oil and leave to boil before adding salt and spaghetti.

Cook for 10 minutes or till spaghetti is cooked aldente. Drain and set aside.

Put a wok or pan on the stove, add the remaining vegetable oil then add prawns/shrimp. Fry prawn then add onions, mixed vegetables, mixed peppers and spring onions.

Add seasoning cube, curry powder, dried thyme, and soy sauce. Stir fry for 3 minutes then add in the cooked spaghetti. Mix well before taking off the heat.

Fried spaghetti is ready to be enjoyed. Best enjoyed warm.
